MEET THE TEAM
Jason Hassenstab
Jason is Co-Founder and President of Elevated Development. He comes from a long line of
builders. After growing up in the family business, Hassenstab Concrete Inc, in Omaha, NE he
attended and graduated from Cal-Poly Pomona with a degree in Construction
Engineering. Following graduation, Jason transitioned from intern to full-time Engineer with
Kiewit, a Fortune 500 General Contractor, and worked his way up to a Project Manager role
before deciding to venture out and build his own company in Texas. Jason began investing in
real estate in 2016 and is active in the residential and commercial space as well as a private
lender. He is passionate about all things construction and development and utilizes his 20+
years of construction experience to ensure Elevated Development projects and pursuits are on
schedule, on budget, and obtaining the best returns for the company and company’s clients.
Jason is a member of the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA), Texas Association of
Builders (TAB), and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
Karen Trotter
Karen is Co-Founder, CFO and Head of Investor Relations at Elevated Development. She
graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Finance and received her MBA from the
University of Texas. Karen spent most of her career in the Oil & Gas Industry, working primarily
for successful private equity-backed companies. She began investing in real estate in 2014 and
is active in the residential and commercial space as well as a private lender. She is Co-Founder
and Treasurer of Lone Star Property Management and CFO of Bayou City Hemp Company, a CBD
Processor in Houston, Texas. Karen is a member of the Certified Commercial Investment
Member (CCIM), Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) and Houston Apartment
Association (HAA).
David Trotter
David is Co-Founder and Head of Strategy and Acquisitions at Elevated Development. He
graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Management and Information Systems
with an emphasis on Supply Chain Management. David’s career has primarily been in the Oil
Field Services and Transportation Industries where he managed small to medium-sized
companies. He has received multiple patents and was integral in the startup of several
businesses. He has been active in real estate since 2014 both in the residential and commercial
space, as well as a private lender. He is Co-Founder of Lone Star Property Management and is a
Co-Sponsor in several commercial real estate investments, including a master planned
community of over 250 acres. David is a member of the National Association of Industrial and
Office Parks (NAIOP), Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) and Houston Apartment Association (HAA).
Misty Flanagan
Misty is Co-Founder and Head of Human Resources and Marketing at Elevated Development.
She graduated from Cal-State Fullerton with a degree in Communications, with an emphasis in
Public Relations and Marketing. She worked as a Human Resources Manager and Business
Specialist for Kiewit, Fortune 500 General Contractor, for 5+ years before joining Jason in the
journey to build their own company in Texas. She began investing in real estate in 2016 and is
active in the residential and commercial space as well as a private lender. Misty is Co-Founder
of the Women’s Real Estate Investor Association (WREIA) of Houston, a member of the Real
Estate Investor Association (REIA) of Texas, Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA), and
Commercial Real Estate Millennial Misses (CREMM).
